Stills Photographer Alex Bailey was kind enough to let me join him at Ealing Studios on the set of Gambit. We pitched up in the catering bus to chat about Alex’s experiences on film sets, shooting the stars and how to embrace digital photography.
Alex’s career spans over twenty years and includes some big projects like Troy, Atonement, Never Let Me Go, Sherlock Holmes and Hanna. We also talked about some of the recent films he has worked on including Martin Scorsese’s Hugo, The Iron Lady and Gambit. We also talked about Alex’s book Movie Photos which is filled with great advice for aspiring photographers and lots of Alex’s amazing photographs.
After our chat, Alex was nice enough to show me around the set of Gambit where Cameron Diaz, Colin Firth and Alan Rickman were working, so here’s an extra special thanks to Alex and Ealing Studios for being so welcoming.
