WHAT IS A PROP SCOUT?

We like to think of our Scouts as ‘the detectives of the prop world’. (Although we’d never say it when they’re listening – it makes them conceited). Their case is an ongoing one: to find beautiful, quirky and downright useful props by scouring every nook and cranny that London has to offer. Yes, our Scouts have eyes everywhere – stalls, backstreets, design events, dusty antique shops, alleyways, skips (well, maybe not the skips) – everywhere that you’re likely, or not so likely, to discover prop talent.

Prop Scouts develop impressive contact books, valuable industry connections and a knowledge of London streets to make black cab drivers jealous. This isn’t an easy industry to break into and we take our mentoring role seriously. We’ll provide you with a platform to shout about your love of props and an opportunity to prove your creative mettle in a very public space. We also offer access to our exclusive PlinkPro directory and professional resources from the moment you begin scouting. Finally, and most importantly, we welcome you into a network of like-minded people who know the secret that the key to success is the people we take with us. We like to see this as the first step towards a glittering career. And it’s lots of fun too.
